From the Washington Herald, Sunday April 14, 1912, One Hundred Years Ago...

PENNSYLVANIA IS OVERWHELMINGLY FOR ROOSEVELT
Taft Forces Are Routed In Keystone State
Colonel's Majority Will Exceed 2 To 1
Progressives Acceded Districts Formerly Claimed AsStaunch For President

Philadelphia, April 13 - At midnight it was certain that Theodore Roosevelt had captured Pennsylvania in to-day's state-wide primaries.
Late returns indicate that the former president's lead in the country will be not less than three to one, and two to one in the city of Philadelphia. This results was indicated by early returns and has been well sustained by later reports from every section of the state. He will probably have sixty-eight of the seventy-six delegates.
